Regional Climate Centers

NCEI manages the Regional Climate Center (RCC) Program, which provides climate services to six regions encompassing the United States. RCCs provide efficient, user-driven services that cover three important categories: 

  • Provision and development of sector-specific and value-added data products and services
  • Establishment of robust, efficient digital infrastructure for providing climate information
  • Seamless integration and storage of non-NOAA climate data with traditional NOAA data sources

Regions

High Plains

The High Plains Regional Climate Center (HPRCC) provides services to the 6 states of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming.

The Midwestern Regional Climate Center (MRCC) serves the nine-state Midwest region of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
