Aerosol Optical Thickness Over Oceans CDR

Configuration Item ID: 01B-04

The Aerosol Optical Thickness (AOT) Over Oceans Climate Data Record (CDR) provides an optical measure of aerosol column loading derived from the global ocean orbital pixel-level Pathfinder Atmosphere Extend (PATMOS-x) FCDR clear-sky reflectance. It utilizes the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) instrument at the 0.63μm channel. This dataset spans from 1981 - present and is available in daily and monthly intervals with a spatial resolution of 0.1 x 0.1 degree.
