Title: |
Delayed XBT data assembled for the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) and processed 1996-05-13 to 1996-05-19 (NCEI Accession 9400132) |
Abstract: |
This dataset contains 99 sets of data collected as part of Shipboard Environmental data Acquisition System (SEAS) III program in North Pacific Ocean, North Atlantic Ocean, and Gulf of Mexico. The cruises were conducted using multiple different ships. The bathythermograph (XBT) data was collected between August 22, 1992 and July 4, 1994. The data was sent from the cruise ships to the National Ocean Service, Rockville, MD via telecommunication. |

Supplementary information: |
These data are processed and incorporated into the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) database.
NCEI has determined that the call sign for the platform "OLEANDER" as documented in the data files is incorrect. The data files document the call sign as "PJJU" whilst NCEI has determined the correct call sign is "V7SX3". |
