Title: Temperature, salinity, and nutrient profile data from the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) from 1932-11-02 to 2000-01-31 (NCEI Accession 0000057)
Abstract: This dataset includes global ocean temperature, salinity, and nutrient profile measurements taken by shipboard observers or automated instruments and received by the Marine Environmental Data Section (MEDS) of the Ocean Sciences Branch of Fisheries and Oceans Canada from the Global Telecommunication System (GTS) of the WMO World Weather Watch. MEDS applies the documented GTSPP quality assessment and duplicates removal procedures. This dataset may include data from Argo floats, Ship of Opportunity Program (SOOP) XBT networks, moored buoys, and other platforms.
