Effect of distance between coral lesions on coral linear extension from experiments in Moorea, French Polynesia from May, 2013 through May, 2014 (NCEI Accession 0291640)
This dataset contains biological data collected from 2013-05-01 to 2014-05-31. These data include growth. The instruments used to collect these data include Camera. These data were collected by Dr Elizabeth Hamman of University of Georgia as part of the "Spatial patterns of coral-vermetid interactions: short-term effects and long-term consequences (Vermetids_Corals)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2019-09-24.

Effect of distance between coral lesions on coral linear extension
Dataset Description:
Experimental corals were artificially damaged using a waterpik with lesion centroids separated by 1.2cm and 3.5cm, and then dyed with Alizarin S. After 1 year, corals were bisectioned, photographed and linear extension measured using Image J at each polyp’s growth lines.
