This dataset contains data collected on R/V Atlantic Explorer and R/V Kilo Moana during cruises AE1920 and KM2110 in the North Atlantic Ocean and North Pacific Ocean on 2023-09-18. These data include depth. The instruments used to collect these data include Spectrometer. These data were collected by Feng Chen and Michael Gonsior of University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science as part of the "The fate of lysis products of picocyanobacteria contributes to marine humic-like chromophoric dissolved organic matter (Picocyanobacteria CDOM)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2023-09-18.

The following is the text of the dataset description provided by BCO-DMO:

HOTS & BATS Depth Profile Fluorescence

Dataset Description:
Methods and Sampling:
This dataset contains the excitation emission matrix data from solid-phase extracted (Agilent Bond Elut PPL).

Water samples were collected using the ship's CTD profiler and 12 L Nisking bottles. 10 L water samples from each depth were then transferred into 5 gallon polycarbonate water bottles and extractrated.

The solid-phase extracted methanolic sample was dried (0.5 mL of methanolic extract) under nitrogen and re-dissolved in 5 mL of pure water prior to fluorescence analyses. All fluorescence data were normalized to the water raman scattering (RU).
