Effects of Hurricane Harvey in San Antonio Bay-Hydrography data, Feb. 2017 - July 2019 (NCEI Accession 0278850)

This dataset contains chemical and physical data collected on small boat: TAMUCC during cruise TAMUCC-HRI in the Gulf of Mexico from 2019-01-09 to 2019-12-05. These data include O2_sat_pcnt, depth, dissolved Oxygen, pH, salinity calculated from CTD primary sensors, and water temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include Multi Parameter Portable Meter and Secchi Disc. These data were collected by Paul A. Montagna of Texas A&M, Corpus Christi as part of the "RAPID: Capturing the Signature of Hurricane Harvey on Texas Coastal Lagoons (Hurricane Harvey Texas Lagoons)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2019-12-26.

Dataset Description:
The effects of Hurricane Harvey were studied. This dataset includes hydrographic measurements (temperature, salinity, oxygen, pH, refraction) from San Antonio Bay, northwest Gulf of Mexico estuaries along the Texas coast. They were taken during eleven quarterly sampling trips on a small boat, Feb. 2017 - July 2019.

Acquisition Description:
Hydrographic measurements were made at each station with a YSI 6600 multi-parameter instrument. The parameters were read from the digital display unit.
Purpose This dataset is available to the public for a wide variety of uses including scientific research and analysis.
