This dataset contains physical data collected during deployment 2018-08_Bruno in the South Pacific Ocean from 2018-03-26 to 2020-08-26. These data include water temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include HOBO Onset Pro v2 temperature logger. These data were collected by John Bruno of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as part of the "The Role of Temperature in Regulating Herbivory and Algal Biomass in Upwelling Systems (Temperature and Herbivory)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2021-09-07.

Onset HOBO U22-001 Underwater Temperature Data Loggers were placed on the benthos at 8 m depth by attaching them to a stainless steel eye bolt.
