This dataset contains biological, chemical, optical, and physical data collected on R/V Atlantic Explorer during cruise AE1620 in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2016-09-07 to 2016-09-09. These data include PAR, Total Dissolved Nitrogen, conductivity, depth, dissolved Oxygen, dissolved organic Carbon, fluorescence, leucine incorporation rate, nitrate plus nitrite, particulate organic Carbon (POC), particulate organic nitrogen, reactive phosphorus (PO4), salinity calculated from CTD primary sensors, sigma-t, water pressure, and water temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD profiler, Liquid Scintillation Counter, Microscope-Fluorescence, Niskin bottle, and Shimadzu TOC-V Analyzer. These data were collected by Dr Stephen Giovannoni of Oregon State University and Dr Craig Carlson of University of California-Santa Barbara as part of the "Dissolved Organic Carbon Cycling by SAR11 Marine Bacteria (Bacterial DOC cycling)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2019-09-30.
