This dataset contains biological, optical, and physical data collected on R/V Endeavor during cruise EN616 from 2018-07-03 to 2018-07-14. These data include chlorophyll a, colored dissolved organic matter, irradiance, salinity calculated from CTD primary sensors, and water temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include AC 9, Multiangle Light Scattering Detector, Satlantic Hyperspectral Surface Acquisition System Radiometer, Sea-Bird SBE 45 MicroTSG Thermosalinograph, and WETLabs WETStar fluorometer. These data were collected by William M. Balch of Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences as part of the "Coccolithophore Mixotrophy (Cocco-Mix)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2021-04-06.

Supplemental Information
Acquisition Description:
Data were collected while underway on R/V Endeavor cruise EN616 in July 2018. Chlorophyll data is based on inter-calibrating surface discrete Chlorophyll measure with the temporally closest fluorescence measurement and applying the regression results to all fluorescence data. Instruments include a WETLabs WETStar Chlorophyll fluorometer, a WETLabs WETStar CDOM fluorometer, a Wyatt Technology Dawn-EOS multi-angle scattering detector, a Sea-Bird SBE45 MicroTSG and a WETLabs ac9 Absorption and Attenuation meter. Radiometry was done using a Satlantic Hyperspectral SAS system with Es, Lt and Li sensors.
Purpose This dataset is available to the public for a wide variety of uses including scientific research and analysis.
