Basic CTD hydrography data collected during R/V Savannah cruises conducted in the South Atlantic Bight off the coast of Georgia from 2015-2017 (NCEI Accession 0277859)
This dataset contains chemical and physical data collected on R/V Savannah during cruises SAV-15-04, SAV-15-16, SAV-15-20, SAV-15-26, SAV-16-06, SAV-16-22, SAV-16-28, and SAV-17-02 in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2015-03-16 to 2017-01-27. These data include O2 saturation, PAR, conductivity, density, depth, dissolved Oxygen, potential temperature, salinity calculated from CTD primary sensors, sigma-theta potential density, water pressure, and water temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD Sea-Bird 25, CTD Sea-Bird 911, and ISUS Nitrate sensor. These data were collected by Peter Lee of College of Charleston - Hollings Marine Lab as part of the "RUI: Vitamin B12 and nitrogen regulation of oceanic dimethylsulfoniopropionate and dimethylsulfide (B12 Impacts on DMSP)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2020-06-23.
The following is the text of the dataset description provided by BCO-DMO:
Basic CTD data collected during SAV cruises 2015-2017
Dataset Description:
Basic CTD data collected using a Sea-Bird Scientific SBE 911 during several R/V Savannah cruises conducted from 2015 to 2017 along a transect from shelf waters to oligotrophic waters in the South Atlantic Bight off the coast of Georgia (Navy Op Area NA06).
