This dataset consists of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity, pH on seawater scale, chlorofluorocarbon 12 (CFC-12), nutrients, water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and other hydrographic and chemical data collected from discrete samples and profile observations during the R/V Johan Hjort cruise JH2019205 (EXPOCODE 58JH20190515) in the North Atlantic Ocean, Nordic Seas from 2019-05-15 to 2019-06-04. The purpose was to monitoring of the IMR standard transects Svinøy, Gimsøy, Bjørnøya-Vest, and Fugløya-Bjørnøya. IMR takes biological (plankton), chemical (macronutrients, chlorophyll), and physical (CTD, ADCP) data at these sections several times every year. In addition, several Argo-floats were deployed. In order to get validation samples for the BGC-Argo floats staff from UiB and NORCE joined the cruise to collect and analyze carbonate chemistry (DIC, AT, pH), oxygen, and trace gas (CFC-12, SF6) data. This metadata describes these chemical data, as well as the macronutrients and salinity data.
