Fugacity of carbon dioxide (fCO2), temperature, salinity, and other variables collected from surface underway observations using shower head equilibrator, carbon dioxide gas detector and other instruments from NOAA Ship Oscar Dyson cruises in the North Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea, Chukchi Sea, Arctic Ocean from 2020-02-12 to 2020-10-05 (NCEI Accession 0225429)
This dataset contains surface underway measurements of fugacity of carbon dioxide (fCO2), sea surface salinity, sea surface temperature, and other parameters collected during the NOAA Ship Oscar Dyson cruises DY20_01 (33OA20200212), DY20_02 (33OA20200303), DY20_03 (33OA20200321), DY20_04 (33OA20200811), DY20_05 (33OA20200824), DY20_06 (33OA20201001) in the North Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea, Chukchi Sea, Arctic Ocean from 2020-02-12 to 2020-10-05. This effort was conducted in support of the coastal monitoring and research objectives of the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program (OAP).

Purpose | The major objectives of the project were to characterize and map the key indicators of ocean acidification (OA) along the U.S. West Coast and in Alaskan waters, and to continue a time series documenting the distribution of surface and atmospheric fCO2, salinity, temperature, and other parameters. |
