This dataset contains stable carbon isotope composition of DIC measured on seawater samples from the SE Indian/Southern Ocean as part of the CROCCA-2S cruise. Additional O2, temperature, salinity, conductivity, fluorescence, beam attenuation, and density variables are CTD probe data. The methods used for Nitrate and Phosphate analysis were standard colometric procedures performed at the Rutgers University Nutrient Analysis Laboratory, as detailed in Lachat Instruments 2003, QuikChem Method 31-115-01-3-A (Phosphate) and QuikChem Method 31-107-04-1-C (Nitrate). Data are in CSV and CNV formats.

This dataset has multiple versions. The newest version is the most complete one.
Purpose These data were collected to i) examine changes in the 13C oceanic Suess Effect and ii) further constrain the carbon system in the SE Indian/Southern Ocean.
