This dataset includes biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the CAPE HATTERAS during cruise CH1010 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2010-08-21 to 2010-09-16. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, irradiance and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, echo sounder, fluorometer, oxygen meter and transmissometer. These data were collected by Tracy Villareal of University of Texas; University of Texas - Austin; Marine Science Institute, and by Duke University/University of North Carolina Oceanographic Consortium as part of Nitrogen Fixation, Nutrient Supply, and Biological Production in the Gulf of Mexico. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program.

A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data.
