Biological, chemical, current measurements, in situ, meteorological, optical, physical, and profile data collected by University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography at OceanSITES site CCE2 from 2010-01-17 to 2024-06-06 (NCEI Accession 0130029)
Biological, chemical, current measurements, in situ, meteorological, optical, physical, and profile oceanographic data were collected, including AIR TEMPERATURE, BAROMETRIC PRESSURE, CHLOROPHYLL, CHLOROPHYLL A CONCENTRATION, CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT DIRECTION, CURRENT SPEED, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), CURRENT SPEED - UP/DOWN COMPONENT (W), DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, DOWNWELLING RADIANCE, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, NITRATE, PRECIPITATION RATE, RELATIVE HUMIDITY, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, WAVELENGTH, WIND DIRECTION, WIND GUST, WIND SPEED, and pH from moored buoys at the California Current Ecosystem 2 mooring (CCE2) using ADCP, C-T recorder, CTD - moored CTD, GPS, anemometer, barometer, barometric pressure sensor, current meter, fluorometer, humidity sensor, meteorological sensor, nutrient autoanalyzer, radiometer, temperature sensor, thermistor, and turbidity sensor from 2010-01-17 to 2024-06-06. These data were provided to one of the OceanSITES Data Assembly Centers (DAC). The DAC formatted this information into the OceanSITES file format and passed it on to the Global Data Assembly Centers (GDAC). This dataset includes all of the data that has been provided to NCEI for this site.
OceanSITES is a worldwide system of long-term, open-ocean reference stations measuring dozens of variables and monitoring the full depth of the ocean from air-sea interactions down to the seafloor. It is a network of stations or observatories measuring many aspects of the ocean's surface and water column using, where possible, automated systems with advanced sensors and telecommunications systems, yielding high time resolution, often in real-time, while building a long record.
