abstract: This dataset contains physical data collected at shoreside Florida_Coral_Reefs during deployment Coral_Bleaching_FRRP in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2014-04-01 to 2016-05-01. These data include depth and water temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include Temperature Logger. These data were collected by Dr Laurie Richardson and Dr Mauricio Rodriguez-Lanetty of Florida International University and Dr Diego Lirman of University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science as part of the "RAPID: A hyper-thermal anomaly in the Florida Reef Tract: An opportunity to explore the mechanisms underpinning patterns of coral bleaching and disease (EMUCoReS)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2023-01-23. The following is the text of the dataset description provided by BCO-DMO: water temperature data 2014-2016 Dataset Description: Acquisition Description: Temperature data loggers were programmed to record hourly water temperatures and secured to the base of a Dendrogyra cylindru s colony at each site. Data loggers were changed out at each site visit and data was later downloaded. Gaps in data are due to lost pendant data loggers or data logger malfunction and are noted in data set as ‘nd’ (no data). Also see the description of this ongoing study: Coral Bleaching Response Plan
