abstract: This dataset includes biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the R/V Falkor during cruise FK141015 in the North Pacific Ocean, Philippine Sea and South Pacific Ocean from 2014-10-14 to 2014-11-03. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, echo sounder, fluorometer and oxygen meter. These data were collected by Millard Coffin of University of Tasmania, and by Schmidt Ocean Institute as part of The Mysteries of Ontong Java. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data.
