METOP_A AVHRR NAR SST data set for 2010-03-27 (NCEI Accession 0076240)

The production of the METOP_A L3P SST data is done by the EUMETSAT/OSI-SAF at Meteo-France/CMS. Global AVHRR level 1B Data are acquired at CMS through the EUMETSAT/EUMETCAST system. A cloud mask is applied and SST is retrieved from the AVHRR IR channels by using a multispectral technique. Data consists of global coverage at 1 km resolution in three minute observation granules. The METOP_A SST L3P data are compliant with the Group for High Resolution SST (GHRSST) Data Specification (GDS) version 1.7.

  • 2015-04-22T00:00:00 - NOAA created the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) by merging NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC), and National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC), including the National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC), per the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2015, Public Law 113-235. NCEI launched publicly on April 22, 2015.
