Nutrient profile data collected by R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer on the western Antarctic shelf in support of the GLOBEC project from 2001-04-29 to 2001-06-05 (NCEI Accession 0000786)
This Southern Ocean GLOBEC project nutrients dataset includes nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, ammonia, and silica measurements from bottle casts from Nathaniel B. Palmer at fixed locations in the Southern Ocean from April 4, 2001, to Aug. 31, 2001, by Dr. Rob Masserini, College of Marine Sciences, University of South Florida.

Supplemental Information | GLOBEC (Global Ocean Ecosystem Dynamics) was initiated by SCOR and the IOC of UNESCO in 1991, to understand how global change will affect the abundance, diversity and productivity of marine populations comprising a major component of oceanic ecosystems. The aim of GLOBEC is to advance our understanding of the structure and functioning of the global ocean ecosystem, its major subsystems, and its response to physical forcing so that a capability can be developed to forecast the responses of the marine ecosystem to global change. |
Purpose | This dataset is available to the public for a wide variety of uses including scientific research and analysis. |
