The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. Title: Delayed XBT data assembled for the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) and processed 1996-05-20 to 1996-05-26 (NCEI Accession 9500064)
Abstract: This dataset contains 32 files of data collected as part of Shipboard Environmental data Acquisition System (SEAS) III program. The cruises were conducted using over a score different ships. The bathythermograph (XBT) data was collected between May 25, 1994 and December 24, 1994. The data from 1,884 XBT drops was sent from the cruise ships to the National Ocean Service, Rockville, MD via telecommunication and was submitted by Chris Noe to NODC.

Supplementary information: These data are processed and incorporated into the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) database.

NCEI has determined that the call sign for the platform "OLEANDER" as documented in the data files is incorrect. The data files document the call sign as "PJJU" whilst NCEI has determined the correct call sign is "V7SX3".
