| Abstract: | This record contains Sofar float (subsurface drifter) data collected
during the GUSREX (GUlf Stream Recirculation EXperiment) in the Northern Atlantic. There were 41 deployments from April 30 to December 31, 1980. The data was collected over a period of 6 years from April 30, 1980 to April 24, 1986. The floats were deployed at 700 and 2000 m depths. Additional parameters measured were temperature and pressure. These data were submitted by Dr. Phil Richardson, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI). The data is currently available in the C116 Bathythermograph file format of NODC. |
