Title: Dissolved inorganic carbon, alkalinity, salinity and other variables collected from Surface underway observations using Autonomous sensor to measure dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) and other instruments from SHIRASE in the Bali Sea, Celebes Sea and others from 1992-11-15 to 1993-03-20 (NCEI Accession 0080990)
Abstract: This dataset includes Surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected from SHIRASE in the Bali Sea, Celebes Sea (Sulawesi Sea and Mindanao Sea), Indian Ocean, Java Sea, Makassar Strait, Philippine Sea, South Pacific Ocean, Southern Oceans (> 60 degrees South) and Tasman Sea from 1992-11-15 to 1993-03-20. These data include AIR TEMPERATURE, BAROMETRIC PRESSURE, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), SALINITY, SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), WIND DIRECTION and WIND SPEED. The instruments used to collect these data include Autonomous sensor to measure dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC).

These data were collected by Hisayuki Y. Inoue of Hokkaido University; Graduate School of Environmental Earth Science; Laboratory of Marine and Atmospheric Geochemistry and Masao Ishii of Meteorological Research Institute; Geochemical Research Department as part of the MRI Shirase I data set. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this data set: JARE34
