In 2015, the newly formed National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) merged the National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC), including the National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC), with the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) and the National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC). The Cooperative Institute for Ocean Exploration, Research, and Technology (CIOERT) partnered with the NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Research (OER) to collect this data. |
