Title: Water temperature profile data from XBTs collected aboard multiple platforms in the Atlantic Ocean as part of the High Resolution XBT Network from 1994-10-08 to 2010-09-29 (NCEI Accession 0070599)
Abstract: Water temperature data were collected from 32,300 XBT casts in the Alboran Sea, Balearic Sea, Mozambique Channel, Strait of Gibraltar, and the North Atlantic and South Atlantic Ocean from October 1994 to September 2010. Data were collected and submitted by the NOAA Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory as part of the High Resolution XBT Network for lines AX7, AX8, AX10, AX18, AX25, and AX97. These data were also collected in support of the Ship of Opportunity (SOOP) and the Global Temperature-Salinity Pilot Project (GTSPP).
