The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Delayed XBT data assembled for the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) and processed 2000-11-27 - 2000-12-03 (NCEI Accession 0000338)
Abstract: Water temperature and other data were collected from multiple ships from October 30, 1999 to October 31, 2000. Data were submitted by the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory - Miami, FL (AMOL) as part of the NOAA-sponsored Shipboard Data Acquisition System (SEAS) project. Data were collected using XBT casts in the North/South Atlantic Ocean and North/South Pacific Ocean.

Supplementary information: These data are processed and incorporated into the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) database.

NCEI has determined that the call sign for the platform "OLEANDER" as documented in the data files is incorrect. The data files document the call sign as "PJJU" whilst NCEI has determined the correct call sign is "V7SX3". NCEI has determined that the name of the platform "RUBY INDAH" as documented in the data files is incorrect. The data files document the platform name as "RUBY INDAH" whilst NCEI has determined the correct platform name is "RUBY INDIAH".
