| Abstract: | This dataset includes current measurements, navigational, and other data collected aboard the R/V Marcus G. Langseth during cruise MGL2301 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2023-01-30 to 2023-02-14. These data include CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, GPS, and bathythermograph - XBT. These data were collected by Jesus Gaytan of Columbia University; Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory as part of Transit and Multibeam Patch Test. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The ADCP data represent the raw dataset. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
