| Abstract: | This dataset includes current measurements, navigational, and other data collected aboard the R/V Savannah during cruise SAV-23-08 in the North Atlantic Ocean on 2023-05-09. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, and GPS. These data were collected by Joseph Montoya of Georgia Institute of Technology, and by Skidaway Institute of Oceanography as part of Georgia Tech OSE 2023. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The ADCP data represent the raw dataset. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
