Title: SAMOS project underway oceanographic and quality-controlled meteorological data collected aboard NOAA Ship Oscar Dyson from 2023-01-14 to 2023-01-31 (NCEI Accession 0276717)
Abstract: The data logging system on NOAA Ship Oscar Dyson recorded underway oceanographic and meteorological data from various instruments while cruising in the Coastal Waters of Southeast Alaska and British Columbia and North Pacific Ocean from 2023-01-14 to 2023-01-31. During this period, as part of the Shipboard Automated Meteorological and Oceanographic System (SAMOS) project, the data logging system sent the data daily via e-mail to Florida State University (FSU), where the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies (COAPS) quality-controlled (QCed) the meteorological data. COAPS submitted four versions of the data to the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI): the original data e-mailed by the data logging system, first-level (automatically and merged) QCed data, and second-level (visually) QCed data. This dataset contains all these data.
