The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Navigational, physical, and profile data collected aboard the R/V Laurence M. Gould during cruise LMG0505 in the South Atlantic Ocean, South Pacific Ocean and others from 2005-04-20 to 2005-05-12 (NCEI Accession 0256901)
Abstract: This dataset includes navigational, physical, and profile data collected aboard the R/V Laurence M. Gould during cruise LMG0505 in the South Atlantic Ocean, South Pacific Ocean and others from 2005-04-20 to 2005-05-12. These data include LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, and WATER TEMPERATURE. The instruments used to collect these data include GPS and bathythermograph - XBT. These data were collected by Bruce Sidell of University of Maine, and by Raytheon Polar Services Company as part of Cold Body Temperature as an Evolutionary Shaping Force in the Physiology of Antarctic Fishes. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program.

Supplementary information: NCEI Accession 0086548 contains documentation about datasets submitted to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository program.

One or more of the data packages in this dataset contains an incorrect data license. The R2R team has requested that all such packages must be documented with a Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0) Public Domain Dedication. The documentation has been updated accordingly. However, none of the original data files have been changed.

In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number.
