Title: Hawaii Coral Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (CRAMP) benthic data and still images from 2018-07-11 to 2018-10-02 on Oahu and Kauai (NCEI Accession 0222170)
Abstract: This dataset consists of digital still images along coral reef transect lines, from which quantitative benthic data are derived from select images via PhotoGrid, a software package that analyzes random points on digital still images of coral reefs and substrate. The benthic data include substrate type and species identification. A total of 6 transects of the Hawaii Coral Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (CRAMP) took place 2018-07-11 to 2018-10-02 at 3 sites on Oahu and Kauai. Most sites consist of two transects long different isobaths-- shallow (~2-4m) and deep (~7-13m) lines. CRAMP has surveyed state-wide coral reefs quasi-annually since 1999 with all historic sets archived at NOAA/NESDIS/NCEI.
