Title: Chemical, navigational and other data collected aboard the Atlantic Explorer during cruise AE1118 in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2011-07-22 to 2011-08-04 (NCEI Accession 0178848)
Abstract: This dataset includes chemical, navigational and other data collected aboard the Atlantic Explorer during cruise AE1118 in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2011-07-22 to 2011-08-04. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, irradiance and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, oxygen meter and transmissometer. These data were collected by Tammi Richardson of University of South Carolina, and by Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences as part of Carbon Export in the Sargasso Sea/Trophic BATS, Leg 2. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program.

A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data.
