| Abstract: | This dataset includes chemical, navigational and other data collected aboard the Atlantic Explorer during cruise AE0913 in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2009-06-24 to 2009-06-28. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, oxygen meter and transmissometer. These data were collected by Robert Mason of University of Connecticut, and by Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences as part of Air-Sea Exchange and Boundary Layer Chemistry of Mercury Over the Open Ocean. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. |
