The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Physical trajectory profile data from glider bios_minnie deployed by Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean from 2018-05-23 to 2018-08-13 (NCEI Accession 0178000)
Abstract: The Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences MAGIC Lab was inaugurated in 2014 through generous support from the Kerr Fund, Simons Foundation International, Vetlesen Foundation and FIL Foundation. Gliders are small, free-swimming, unmanned vehicles that use changes in buoyancy to move vertically and horizontally through the water column in a saw-tooth pattern. They are deployed for days to several months and gather detailed information about the physical, chemical and biological processes of the world's oceans. The Slocum glider was designed and built by Teledyne Webb Research Corporation, Falmouth, MA, USA. This dataset contains observational sub-surface profile data of the water-column.

The National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) received the data in this archival package from the Integrated Ocean Observing System's National Glider Data Assembly Center (IOOS NGDAC). The IOOS NGDAC received the data in one or more netCDF files comprising an entire glider deployment. The data are measurements of physical oceanographic properties such as temperature, salinity, conductivity, and density. The IOOS NGDAC checked the files for compliance to their netCDF file convention, aggregated the files into a single netCDF file, and then submitted the file to NCEI for long-term preservation.
