The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: In situ, physical and profile data collected by Oceanographic Observatory of Villefranche-sur-Mer and University of Perpignan Via Domita at OceanSITES site LION from 2007-09-09 to 2014-07-04 (NODC Accession 0139310)
Abstract: In situ, physical and profile oceanographic data were collected, including CURRENT DIRECTION, CURRENT SPEED, CURRENT SPEED - UP/DOWN COMPONENT (W), DEPTH - OBSERVATION, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, Potential temperature (theta) and SALINITY from Moored Buoy at the Mediterranean Ocean Observing System on Environment (MOOSE) LION Mooring (LION) using current meter from 2007-09-09 to 2014-07-04. These data were provided to one of the OceanSITES Data Assembly Centers (DAC). The DAC formatted this information into the OceanSITES file format and passed it on to the Global Data Assembly Centers (GDAC).

OceanSITES is a worldwide system of long-term, open-ocean reference stations measuring dozens of variables and monitoring the full depth of the ocean from air-sea interactions down to the seafloor. It is a network of stations or observatories measuring many aspects of the ocean's surface and water column using, where possible, automated systems with advanced sensors and telecommunications systems, yielding high time resolution, often in real-time, while building a long record.
