The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Chemical, current measurements, in situ, physical, and profile data collected by Oceanographic Observatory of Villefranche-sur-Mer and University of Perpignan Via Domita at OceanSITES site LION from 2007-09-09 to 2021-06-10 (NCEI Accession 0139310)
Abstract: Chemical, current measurements, in situ, physical, and profile oceanographic data were collected, including CARBON - ORGANIC - SEDIMENT, CARBON - TOTAL PARTICULATE - SEDIMENT, CURRENT DIRECTION, CURRENT SPEED, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), CURRENT SPEED - UP/DOWN COMPONENT (W), DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, PARTICULATE ORGANIC CARBON, PARTICULATE ORGANIC NITROGEN (PON), Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, SEDIMENTS, SEDIMENTS - ORGANIC CARBON, SEDIMENTS - TOTAL CARBON, WATER TEMPERATURE, and suspended solids from moored buoys at the Mediterranean Ocean Observing System on Environment (MOOSE) LION Mooring (LION) using ADCP, C-T recorder, CTD - moored CTD, current meter, and trap - sediment from 2007-09-09 to 2021-06-10. These data were provided to one of the OceanSITES Data Assembly Centers (DAC). The DAC formatted this information into the OceanSITES file format and passed it on to the Global Data Assembly Centers (GDAC). This dataset includes all of the data that has been provided to NCEI for this site.

OceanSITES is a worldwide system of long-term, open-ocean reference stations measuring dozens of variables and monitoring the full depth of the ocean from air-sea interactions down to the seafloor. It is a network of stations or observatories measuring many aspects of the ocean's surface and water column using, where possible, automated systems with advanced sensors and telecommunications systems, yielding high time resolution, often in real-time, while building a long record.
