The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. Title: Temperature, salinity and other variables collected from discrete sample and profile observations using CTD, bottle and other instruments from USCGC POLAR SEA in the South Pacific Ocean and Southern Oceans from 1994-02-04 to 1994-02-10 (NCEI Accession 0116062)
Abstract: This dataset includes chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from USCGC POLAR SEA in the South Pacific Ocean and Southern Oceans (> 60 degrees South) from 1994-02-04 to 1994-02-10. These data include CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-11 (CFC-11), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-113 (CFC-113), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-12 (CFC-12), DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, SALINITY and WATER TEMPERATURE. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD and bottle.

These data were collected by S Jacobs and W. Smethie of Columbia University; Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory as part of the CLIVAR_Ross_Sea_32L919940204 data set. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this data set: PS94 and Ross_Sea_32L919940204

The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.
