The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Dissolved inorganic carbon, alkalinity, temperature, salinity and other variables collected from discrete sample and profile observations using CTD, bottle and other instruments from HUDSON in the Davis Strait, Gulf of St. Lawrence and others from 1999-06-27 to 1999-07-13 (NCEI Accession 0108215)
Abstract: This dataset includes chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from HUDSON in the Davis Strait, Gulf of St. Lawrence, Labrador Sea and North Atlantic Ocean from 1999-06-27 to 1999-07-13. These data include CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-11 (CFC-11), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-113 (CFC-113), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-12 (CFC-12), Carbon tetrachloride (CCL4), DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, SALINITY, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), WATER TEMPERATURE, methyl chloroform (MC), nitrate + nitrite content (concentration), phosphate and silicate. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD and bottle.

These data were collected by Robert Gershey of BDR Research Ltd and Peter E. (retired) Jones of Bedford Institute of Oceanography as part of the WOCE_AR07W_1999 data set. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this data set: WOCE_AR07W_1999

The World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) was a major component of the World Climate Research Program with the overall goal of better understanding the ocean's role in climate and climatic changes resulting from both natural and anthropogenic causes. The CO2 survey took advantage of the sampling opportunities provided by the WOCE Hydrographic Program (WHP) cruises during this period between 1990 and 1998. The final collection covers approximately 23,000 stations from 94 WOCE cruises.

Supplementary information: These data were acquired by NCEI from the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC) in accordance with an archival submission agreement between CDIAC and NCEI.

NCEI cannot verify the accuracy or availability of the data provider's citation information, which is maintained by CDIAC.

In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number.
