| Abstract: | This dataset includes navigational, physical and underway data collected aboard the ATLANTIS during cruise AT15-43 in the North Pacific Ocean and South Pacific Ocean from 2009-01-09 to 2009-02-17. These data include CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP and GPS. These data were collected by C. Geoffrey Wheat of University of Alaska - Fairbanks, and by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as part of Chemical, Pressure, Temperature, and Flow Constraints on Hydrologic Horizons in the Costa Rica Subduction Zone, ODP Sites 1253 and 1255. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The ADCP data represent the raw data set. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
