Definition: The Gulf of Thailand, situated southwestward and adjacent to the South China Sea, is bounded by the coasts of the West Malaysia, Thailand, Kampuchea and Viet Nam. Its common limit with the South China Sea (see 6.1) is the following: On the Southeast: A line joining the eastern side of the mouth of Kelantan River (6 Degrees 13 Minutes N - 102 Degrees 13 Minutes 40 Seconds E), on the northeastern coast of West Malaysia, northeastward to Cape Bai Bung (8 Degrees 36 Minutes 40 Seconds N - 104 Degrees 43 Minutes 15 Seconds E), the southwestern extremity of Viet Nam.
