FUNDING and COUNTRIES: RAMA is a multi-nationally supported element of the Indian Ocean Observing System (IndOOS) which collectively represents an Indian Ocean contribution to the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS), USA, India, Japan, France, China, Indonesia. Contribution from the ASCLME contries is planned at later stages. ASCLME is a consortium of eight African nations including Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, and Comoros.
