Comments: Project narrative: During 1922-1927, the famous Russian oceanographer Dr. Knipovich led an integrated research-fishery expedition in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov to understand the basin ichthyology. The follow up ocenograpic expedition studied the vertical structure of waters and currents in 1924-1928.
