Comments: | SECOORA, the Southeast Coastal Ocean Observing Regional Association, is the regional solution to integrating coastal and ocean observing data and information in the Southeast United States. SECOORA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit incorporated in September 2007 that coordinates coastal and ocean observing activities, and facilitates continuous dialogue among stakeholders so that the benefits from the sustained operation of a coastal and ocean observing system can be realized. SECOORA is one of 11 regional associations within IOOS, a multidisciplinary network designed to provide data required by decision makers. SECOORA is also a member of the National Federation of Regional Associations (NFRA), working along with ten other Regional Associations (RAs) to assure the needs and positions of on-the-ground users in the regions are adequately reflected in national policy and priority setting. |
