| Abstract: | This accession contains drifting buoy data collected from 1998-04-01 to 1998-04-30 from buoys deployed by National Data Buoy Center, Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. Air temperature, barometric pressure and water depth data were collected in the Gulf of Mexico as part of Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere (TOGA) project. The data were processed by NODC and are currently available in NODC F156 Drifting Buoy Data file format. |

Note: Metadata for this accession were extracted from a legacy database maintained by the U.S. National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC). The design of the database did not exactly reflect the FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM).
