| Abstract: | THERE SEEMS TO BE DISCREPENCY BETWEEN THE DATA WHICH SEEMS TO BE DATA COLLECTED BY SHIPS AND THE ATDB RECORD! THE ABSTRACT BELOW IS THE EDITED VERSION OF WHAT THAILA'S DIRECTORY HAD. This data set contains results from the ACDA/NSF Antarctic inspection cruise project. Data were collected aboard the USCGC POLAR STAR from January to February 1983 during the ANT 183 and ANT 583 cruises. The following data were collected on these cruises: wind data, weather, swell height, sea surface temperature, ice cover and bird data. The data are reported in file type F033 format. The data were submitted by George Hunt from the University of California. |
