Title: CTD data of the Hawaii Undersea Research Program from the 296 Dives of the Submersible Pisces V within all Hawaiian Islands and Seamounts during 1990-1999 (NCEI Accession 0000807)
Abstract: The Hawaii Undersea Research Laboratory (HURL) was established by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the University of Hawaii. Its mission is to study deep water marine processes in the Pacific Ocean. The primary means of surveying are through use of the Submersible Pisces V, with a depth penetration to just beyond 2 Km. The submersible is equipped with a CTD device. This dataset represents the CTD data for dives throughout all Hawaiian Islands and seamounts during 1990-1999. The data have not received calibration other than what was provided by the SeaBird Electronics CTD agreement. Also, the data have not been rigorously quality controlled. Use the data with discretion. Please inform the HURL data management team if questionable signals are encountered. HURL and NOAA are not responsible for misuse of the data.
