Title: Water temperature, salinity, and surface meteorology measurements collected from the Tropical Moored Buoys Array in the equatorial oceans from November 1977 to December 2013 (NODC Accession 0078936).
Abstract: The Global Tropical Moored Buoy Array Program is a multi-national effort to provide data in real-time for climate research and forecasting. Major components include the TAO/TRITON array in the Pacific, PIRATA in the Atlantic, and RAMA in the Indian Ocean.
The Global Tropical Moored Buoy Array Program is a contribution to the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS), Global Climate Observing System (GCOS), and the Global Earth Observing System of Systems (GEOSS).
Data in this submission are updated every three months: January, April, July, and October, and include daily sub-surface profiles of water temperature, salinity, and surface metorological observations.
