Bottle and other data were collected from the North Atlantic Ocean from 25 November 1983 to 15 February 199. Data were collected by the Ukrainian Scientific Centre of the Ecology of Sea (UkrSCES) and include temperature, salinity, and oxygen profiles. Additional funding for digitizing historic data were provided by the Global Ocean Data Archaeology and Rescue (GODAR) project.
