| Abstract: | This dataset includes current measurements, navigational, and other data collected aboard the R/V Pelican during cruise PE24-02 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2023-07-23 to 2023-07-28. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, and GPS. These data were collected by Nancy Rabalais of Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium as part of Northern Gulf of Mexico Shelf-wide Hypoxia Cruise 2023. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The ADCP data represent the raw dataset. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
