The expedition was a part of an ongoing project on the Korea-Arctic Ocean Warming and Response of Ecosystem (K-AWARE) Project of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Korea. The objectives of K-AWARE are to identify key environmental parameters (physical and biogeochemical) in rapid transition due to the sea-ice decrease in the western Arctic Ocean (Chukchi and Bering strait). The data is compsed of phyical, chemical and biological parameters. |
